Here's the fantabulous TGC Christmas update! Thanks to all the hard-working contributors to the site, I'm able to make this one extra-special (and extra-big), which is good, since after this I'll be gone for almost a month.
Starting off, just to the right of these words is a glorious Christmas drawing by Fraylim of his favorite boy/girl, Stuart. School Daze is a project that's been long in the works. It will be a novel-length, heavily illustrated story. Hopefully, we'll be posting it on the site in 2008 (but no promises there)!
Speaking of Fraylim, he's added ten new drawings to his portfolio. He's done fan art of some of his favorite TG comics characters who reside here and elsewhere on the web. Please check out Fraylim's renditions of Yuuki from Sparkling Generation Valkyrie Yuuki, various characters from The Reign of Cruella, and Gear from Happy But Dead.
Speaking of Fraylim and School Daze, CBlack has been a long-time fan. He's done a couple sets of fan art that have already been posted on the Forum, and now he has a Portfolio page on the main site to show off any great new pics he'd like to share with us. Check out a terrific set of ten new pics of Stuart. Hopefully, CBlack will be sharing more such work with us in 2008.
Speaking of CBlack, he's finished the third chapter of A Second Chance. See Arthur get acquainted with his feminine side! I have to say, I think CBlack's 3D art has never looked so gorgeous (and Arthur is one of his most beautiful creations). Take a look and I'm sure you'll agree!
Speaking of gorgeous 3D art, we've got a brand new, 81-page comic by Infinity Sign. Payback Possession tells the story of Bruce, a guy who's down on his luck after getting canned from his job by his beautiful, bitchy boss. Just when he thinks things can't get worse, they do. Can Bruce somehow manage to turn the tables and get payback on those who have done him wrong? Read this porn-alicious tale to see. Be warned, this one is sexually explicit. It's absolutely, positively for adults only!
Speaking of sexually explicit comics (well, not really, but I couldn't think of anything else to keep the string going), I'm posting four new panels to The Hot Date. Was hoping for five, but didn't quite make it.
Finally, I've started a new Caption Contest. This harkens back to the old cover contests we used to have on the site in years gone by. I'm throwing up a six panel transformation from an aborted project. It shows a transformation from man to woman. There's plenty of room for dialogue balloons and/or narration. You can add your own balloons to the image posted, or submit a text-only entry and I'll cap it (if I pick it as the winner). Post your submissions on this page of the Forum, and the winning entry will replace the blank version on my Portfolio page. I hope people will have fun with this over the next month or so. Multiple entries are definitely permitted/encouraged.
Here's wishing everyone a great holiday season and Happy New Year! I'll be checking email and posting on the Forum while I'm away, but there won't be another update to the main site until mid-January 2008.
December 6, 2007
The updates keep on coming! First off, Lovely Lorna Samuels has created a fresh batch of recapped cartoons. Why not leave her a note on the Forum and tell her which one of her ten new offerings is your favorite?
On a more technical note, I've adjusted the "Cartoon numbering" in the navigation panel for Lorna's cartoons. Now, Cartoon 1 will always remain Cartoon 1 (and actually reflect that it was the first cartoon posted in the series). The way I was doing it before, the newest cartoons always started with 1, and that doesn't seem right, does it? A boring detail for most, but I'm sure there's someone out there besides me who cares about this stuff (at least I hope so!). I'll change the numbering as needed on other galleries as I update them. None of those updates will take place until after I'm back from my trip (which means not until 2008). Sorry about that.
Finally, I've posted five new panels to The Hot Date. This is about the point when I'm working on a comic where I normally start freaking out and decide to go back and start over or move onto something else, but I promise I won't do that this time (other than minor tinkering, of course). I hope you like the way the story and art are progressing.
December 2, 2007
The second chapter of A Second Chance has been posted. Fourteen new pages. An awesome double transformation! Outstanding work by CBlack. FYI -- the page numbering has been redone to reflect that this story is organized in chapters.
November 29, 2007
Five more panels of The Hot Date. All the feedback has been terrific, thanks so much. It's a ton of work, but the kind notes I've gotten has been greatly rewarding.
In my efforts to continue blogging, wanted to plug a couple more Yahoo Groups. Lovely Lorna Samuels, who shares her cartoon recaps with us here, has two Yahoo Groups going. She recently took the time to reorganize them all, so it's the perfect time to check them out for the first time or revisit. There's Lorna's TG Images and Lorna's TG Themes. Both are chock full of outstanding caps. As always, Yahoo Groups require you to be a member in order to see anything.
Also wanted to mention, for those who like recaptioned covers, there seems to be quite a few by a lass named susanjames27 at Caption Picture Links. Check 'em out!
November 24, 2007
I'm excited to be posting the first fifteen panels of a new, ongoing comic by CBlack. A Second Chance is the story of Emily and Arthur Fitch, a retired midwestern couple on their way to a vacation of a lifetime. They just happen to be heading to a place called Fantasy Island, where a gentleman named Mr. Roarke and his beautiful assistant will help them live out some dreams they never knew they had. I'm thinking that if we leave CBlack enough nice comments on the Forum, we'll get some new panels faster! Enjoy!
Also wanted to note the power of this little blog. Plugged Shannon's Yahoo groups a few days ago, and she's already gotten over two hundred new members. Not quite Oprah-type clout, but still, kinda fun. Thanks, everyone!
November 21, 2007
Happy Thanksgiving! In the spirit of the holiday, I'd like to thank everyone who has offered their kind support in terms of feedback on the Hot Date. Only four new panels this week. An excerpt of one is on the right. It's probably my favorite drawings so far. I'm happy with the way her expression came out. Thought I'd throw it up here to liven up this cover blog (I need to put up visuals here more often, wouldn't you say?).
I'd like to thank everyone who posts on the Forum. In particular, I'd like to single out SoCalSecrets for his wonderfully obsessive contributions. I love his links to things I never would have found on my own. And I love the way he shows us connections between things TG, comics and culture. Rock on, SoCal!
I also want to thank a few folks for their recent creative contributions elsewhere on the web. Video-wise, be sure to check out the Wand of Change, if you haven't already. There are now five parts, and the story is complete. Also, Bikast has completed his two large TG projects, Last, Tonight and Saturation Point. Both series are worth watching, IMHO.
Finally, I want to give thanks by plugging a few Yahoo groups I've been enjoying. Shannon, one of my favorite captioneers, has started a second group. Her first group is also great. Not only is Shannon imaginative and prolific, but she takes the time to post some great captioneers from the past on a temporary basis. You might see some great caps you missed the first time they came out.
Another group I've been enjoying is Christy's Cap Heaven. She's in the process of posting the 700 caps she's created, and I think they're quite fun. As always, you need to be a Yahoo member in order to see any of these caps.
November 14, 2007
Five new panels of The Hot Date. Kyle's transformation continues.
November 8, 2007
Five new panels of The Hot Date. The transformation begins.
November 2, 2007
Four new panels of The Hot Date. Hope people aren't getting frustrated with the pace. We'll see some visual changes in the update after this.
Also, apologies to all the great people who have been posting work on the Forum. Love the new pulp covers. And all the other great stuff. I'll get some of your recaps posted to the main site one of these days. I know I'm way behind!
October 24, 2007
Five new panels of The Hot Date. We're getting there!
October 16, 2007
A quick note to say that I've posted three new panels of The Hot Date. My natural rhythm seems to be posting on a weekly basis (roughly), so there's no need to check back every day.
Also I'm proud to post a brand new story by a legendary TG author. Reality Flux — The Return of She, is by Bill Hart. Bill, in case you don't know it, is the creator of Spells-R-Us and Reality Flux, and has written dozens of extremely entertaining tales (as I mentioned a little while back, Bill was an inspiration for The Hot Date). Speaking of inspiration, the cover that motivated Bill was one of Andi Foster's nifty mods. "It was a cover that cried out for a story," says Bill.
October 11, 2007
Thanks for all the warm response regarding The Hot Date. Your kind words on the Forum do have an effect. They spurred me on to work hard and create five new panels this week. Still setting the stage, but the transformation is getting closer!
Tinkerer that I am, I also made minor adjustments to a couple of the earlier panels. Mostly adjusting Tommy's eyebrows. Yes, I am that obsessive!
Finally, Lovely Lorna Samuels is offering up a dozen fresh single panel recaps. Enjoy (and leave her a note on the Forum if you can). The Haunting is my favorite!
October 5, 2007
This is a big day for me. I'm very bad at finishing projects. I have hundreds of pages of unfinished, half-baked TG comics that I've worked on over the years. I start them and rarely finish. So, in order to try and change that, I'm going to post something as I'm working on it. Posting panels as they're completed will keep me from endlessly tinkering with them, and maybe, for once, I'll finish a comic I've written and drawn myself (and not get distracted by making modified covers, captioned cartoons or photo-comics!).
The Hot Date is pretty much an exercise. There aren't any huge surprises in the story. Fans of TG Fiction will be able to accurately predict the plot of the story after reading a few pages (or even the synopsis!), but it's the kind of story I never get tired of. My inspirations were The Professor and Bill Hart.
I've been working on developing an art style that I can do somewhat quickly and be satisfied with, and I think I've come up with something that works fairly well. You can tell me how I'm doing by leaving me a comment on the Forum (hint, hint!).
I hope you like this work. The Hot Date will be about 172 panels in all. I'm going to try to put up one or two new panels a week, but please don't get mad if I don't stick to that schedule.
Special thanks to Geoffrey Kidd, as always, for his eagle eye. Couldn't do much of anything without Geoffrey!
September 25, 2007
No update today, just a few plugs. First off, I'm loving Bikast's movies. I'm totally hooked on Last, Tonight, but the others are fun too. Check our Bikast's YouTube Site.
Also, Tobe Adame keeps rolling along with his novel-length captioned story called XXFiles. Twenty-one chapters already (630 capped images), and still going strong. (Two warnings: this series has some explicit sexual imagery, and you need to be a member of Yahoo Groups to see the caps).
Finally, for those who have an interest in drawing and making comics on the computer, the deluxe version of Manga Studio is on sale until December 15. It used to cost $299, and now it's marked down to $149. That's half price for some terrific software (though, be warned, it takes a bit of time and commitment to fully learn it).
September 23, 2007
Jet-a-Reeno! The Aeronautical Maidens who comprise the TG Thunderbird Squadron return at last in the long-awaited Jet Dream 6. Here's the straight scoop from Sultry Suzanne de Nimes...
Jet-a-Reeno! This one's got it all! The beautiful-but-deadly Raven Red is back, and so are her Dynamic Dare-Dolls, the world's first all-girl air aces! Raven's got her sights set on Harmony, who she once loved as the manly Jack Thunder, but does she have hugs... or homicide planned for the former Thunderbird turned T-Girl? Plus a special appearance by Athena, Ghost-Girl warrior of olden times, for the first time OUTSIDE her "Haunted Copter!" It's a pulse-pounding parade of paradoxical protein we could only call (because our lugubrious letterer already did, and it's too late to change it!)... "The Powder-Puff Derby Caper!"
September 22, 2007
Infinity gives us the third chapter of Taboo Beauty (Adults Only!). I love the way Infinity can make his Poser/Daz work look slightly cartoony and flat. And such great expressions on Mitch! Read how Mitch's body continues to change as the curse once again takes hold... and a new persona emerges.
I've also created a Portfolio page to display Infinity's drawings. The guy is mult-talented, and hopefully, he'll one day share a hand-drawn comic with us.
September 17, 2007
Three different things. First off, a batch of three lovely modified covers by Audacious Andi Foster. Next, a new Super-Sister cover by BobH. And finally, the story from BobH that inspired the Super-Sister cover. Enjoy!
September 16, 2007
Yikes! The update I posted yesterday was so big, I forgot something! Don't miss CBlack's Nu-You Skins, a beautiful six-page comic without words. CBlack posted it to the Forum awhile back, and now it's up on the main site. Sorry about that!
September 15, 2007
A rather large update. Most of the material has appeared elsewhere on the web (or on the Forum), but I hope people who have seen these comics, covers and stories before will appreciate having them assembled here.
First off, I'm republishing the comics of the talented Poser artist Infinity. There are twelve different issues of the following titles: Chronos Melody, Complex Eve, Codename: Agent Kitty, The Devil's Playground, Taboo Beauty and Vixodus. I like Infinity's techniques and different image treatments and hope he will be producing many more comics in the future. Please be warned that most of Infinity's work is definitely for ADULTS ONLY.
Infinity's work now dominates the Comics section of the site, but I'm thrilled to have so many more graphic stories available, since that's what this site is truly all about. And since there are other comics in the works by various other artists, that ratio will eventually change.
Infinity's work has been available on 4shared.com (and he has his own site), but I wanted to give these stories greater exposure for the folks who haven't seen them or don't like dealing with those file sharing sites. Please note that most of Infinity's comics have been scaled down to fit onto the tgcomics.com site, but full-sized versions are available as well in zip files (or if you simply want to download an entire series at once).
I'm also republishing CBlack's Scenes from a Demonic Possession, which originally appeared on the old Siren Song website (which has now packed up and moved to Second Life). Thanks again for sharing, CBlack!
There are also three new Stories Inspired by Covers. In this case, the creators of the covers are also the authors of the stories. Read, BobH's first Super-Sister story, and two by Janet Stickney, The Moment of Truth and Anyone Could Do It (the latter is a tgcomics.com exclusive).
I've also updated the modified covers section with fresh covers from BobH, Janet Stickney, and SoCalSecrets.
Finally, I've updated the most popular page of the site. The Links page hasn't been changed since January, so it's about time! Updating the links is my least-favorite thing to do, and I've decided to make it easier on myself by dropping the categorizing of links by "Active" and "Dormant." It was always a lot more work to determine if each link is not only working, but has also had recent activity. So I've dropped the color coding. All the links now look the same, from the brand spanking new web sites to the ones that have been dormant for years. Sorry about this, but I figured it's worth losing the categorizing in order to get the links page updated.
Whew! That's about it. Please take the time to leave a comment or two or two on the Forum for Infinity, CBlack, BobH, Janet Stickney, SoCalSecrets, or any of the other contributors to tgcomics.com. It's the only payment these talented people receive, and a little praise (or constructive criticism) definitely gets the creative juices flowing.
August 23, 2007
The first Story Inspired by a Modified Cover in a very long time. The venerable TG author, Eric, has penned another gem. Jughead Jones and the Curse of the Bauble is inspired by EvaGrubbFan's modified cover featuring Jughead, Archie, Veronica and the whole Riverdale gang. Eric has written fan-fiction that takes a very dark turn.
This is a double update, since Lorna Samuels has been kind enough to share a fresh dozen of modified cartoon recaps, which is always a treat. I can't help but think that Lorna whipped up another batch so quickly because so many people praised her last set on the Forum. As it's been scientifically proven, praise works!
August 10, 2007
I've mentioned from time to time the rules I've had in my head about this site, and how I inevitably seem to break them. Well, I kind of had an informal rule against posting work created in Poser or Daz Studio. There were a couple reasons for this. One, I wanted to encourage artists who draw with a pen, brush, or computer tablet to put up their comics here. But that hasn't happened, at least, not in great numbers. And, I have to admit, there are some talented Poser artists out there.
Another reason I never posted Poser stuff to this point was because it seemed to be the domain of the Siren Song website. But now that Siren Song has moved exclusively to Second Life, I figured now's the time. And who better to start off with than one of the best known Poser artists in the TG community, CBlack.
We're starting off with an illustrated story, Means to an End. There are thirteen illustrations accompanying the story, and I think it's a fun read (and nice visuals). Check it out and see what you think (and how about leaving CBlack a comment or two on the Forum?).
Hopefully, this is the first of many works CBlack will share with us here. By the way, he's selling CDs of Ariel Redux, the graphic novel that was once (but no longer) posted on Siren Song. You can find out details about the CDs here.
And that's only part of this update. I've also added Janet Stickney's modified covers from the Forum to the modified section of the main site. Seventy-seven covers in all. It's fun to see Janet's work progress. I think she's grown immensely in terms of layout and cover concepts. Her work is truly unique and exciting. I like it a lot!
Finally, to top things off, there are some great new covers by Andi Foster, BobH and SoCalSecrets.
Peace!
July 29, 2007
More fun stuff. Ten new cartoon recaps by Lovely Lorna Samuels. (Cartoons 1-10 are the new ones). It would be nice if you would take the time to leave Lorna a comment about her work here on the Forum. I think she does great caps, and hope you do too!
Also, this weeks recapped covers from the Forum have been added to the main site. Andi Foster, BobH, SoCalSecrets and The Demon all have new work up.
Enjoy!
July 21, 2007
Sorry for such a gap between postings. This update is another expansion of the site, though not entirely new. What I mean is that I've added recapped covers by some of the good folks who have been posting them to the Forum. Andi Foster, BobH, Debbie, The Demon, EvaGrubbFan, Suzanne de Nimes and SoCalSecrets now have their own pages under Modified Stuff--Covers. These covers have all been posted on the Forum, but they've been cleaned up slightly and enlarged a little for the main site, and a few have been slightly modified by their authors.
Thanks to all the cappers who have been waiting patiently for me to finish getting these up. Can you believe that BobH has done 135 covers?
I've also revamped Suzanne's Jet Dream page for easier navigation. Also wanted to mention in the past month that the Forum's had something interesting posted to it just about every day. And finally, there's a new Poll feature, for anyone who wants to create or take a poll.
June 3, 2007
To start, Lovely Lorna Samuels has composed ten new single panel cartoon recaps. I think Lorna's recaps are always a treat for readers!
Onto some minor matters. There's now an "off-topic" area on The Forum entitled "Gender Optional," in case people want to discuss things that don't fit in elsewhere on The Forum.
Finally, I've fixed some of the Stories Inspired by Covers that weren't showing up. They should now all be viewable. Please do let me know if you see other technical problems with the site such as pages not showing up, etc.
May 22, 2007
Sorry for the lull. Hate when that happens, but I don't feel as bad about it as I have in the past, since we now have The Forum, which has been quite active and had lots of great stuff posted to it. Thanks to everyone who's been contributing there. Over 1,200 member and growing every day. It's been great!
This update starts off with two 12-page modified comics that have previously been posted on The Forum. The Demon officially joins the official ranks of TGC with two tales of alternate reality, Whiz Comics and Journey Into Mystery. I'm breaking another of my informal rules by putting these up (do I have any left?), in that I never planned to post any "superhero" comics on the site (unless they were original). But I think these are fun, loving twists on the original stories, so what the heck.
I'm also tossing up the final fifty single panel recaps by me since I haven't updated in awhile. I did all of these awhile back, and probably won't do any more, so that's why it's the last of the bunch.
April 14, 2007
Grendle Swank is back with a second chapter of Jason and Me, in which our intrepid narrator explores his new interests in female clothing further, including a furtive trip to his aunt's house. This story may not be for everybody, but I hope people who enjoy Grendle's work (I LOVE his page layouts) will leave a comment or two in the forum.
March 18, 2007
Jet-a-Reeno! It's the "Cool War," with a chemically transformed teen T-Girl named Cookie from the West taking on surgically altered Svetlana from the East. Mix in skis and snow and a couple of hunky he-spys, and you've got It's Cookie! #3, the latest recapped comic concoction from the demented Ms. De Nimes. Enjoy, TGC Phanatics!
Also wanted to mention I'm going on a trip and won't be back until mid-April, so this will be the last update before then. But unlike the past, because of the Forum, the site will (I hope) remain active in my absence. Hope you'll visit there and leave me lots to read and see when I get back. And who knows, I might be able to check in once or twice from the road.

March 7, 2007
Ten more single panel recaps by me, plus, just to the right, a fantabulous new advert for tgcomics.com by Sensational Suzanne de Nimes. Feel free to post the ad anywhere you like to promote the site.
February 25, 2007
Jet-a-Reeno! A different double-dose of Jet Dream daring -- two sudsy tales of woo by the recapper supreme -- Suzanne de Nimes! Read "Kiss or Be Killed," a south-of-the-border romance starring teen T-Girl, Cookie Jarr. And that's followed by "A Kiss Is Merely A Biological Phenomenon," in which we learn how much of a Teutonic tomboy or girl the Jet Dream sky-jockey Marlene really is. Please read My Jet Dream Romance #1. And don't miss the first fantabulous letters page!
February 19, 2007
The Forum keeps on growing. Lots of fun stuff going on there. Hope you're checking it out. And, since I don't have anything else to post at the moment, I'm putting up 10 new single panel recaps by me.
February 10, 2007
Two new treats today. Saucy Suzanne de Nimes continues to pump out the recapped comics. It's Cookie! #2 is a hilarious hoot-fest! And Lovely Lorna Samuels has created a dozen new cartoon recaps for your viewing pleasure. If you enjoy either one of these exquisite TG morsels, perhaps you'd like to leave the creators a comment in the Forum. We're off to a great start there. Lots of fun messages and art have been posted. In little over a week, we've got over 300 members!
And to show how well the Forum works, Anne Oni Mouse suggested that it might be nice to have navigation links below a pic as well as above on the various pages of the site, so one doesn't have to go back to the top of the page to get to the next one. I had always thought this would be a good idea, but hadn't quite managed to figure out how to do it. Upon taking a fresh look, I realized it wasn't as hard as I thought, so now all the pages (except for Cruella) (should) have navigation links above and below. This may not be the most exciting news in the world, but anything that makes the site easier to use makes me happy (and perhaps it will make you happy too).
February 2, 2007
This is a big day as far as tgcomics.com goes. We're adding a Forum to the site. There's been a lot of hard work behind the scenes over the last few months getting it into place. It's still a work in progress. How the Forum changes and grows from this point is largely up to YOU.
I'm hoping we'll be able to build a friendly, supportive community, one that enjoys different kinds of TG comics and stories, one that gets a special thrill from that special something that happens when art is combined with a story.
We've got some fun categories. A History of TGC for one. Suzanne de Nimes has already dug up some fun info on the company that I'm positive most people didn't know.
I hope you'll be willing to register. Members can post links. They can upload files. Make new topics. Guests can post too, so if you're too shy to join, I encourage you to do at least do that. And most of all, I encourage you to leave a post for the artists and recappers on the site. We really haven't had a good way to communicate with each other until now, so I hope you'll take advantage of it. Read The Forum -- A Couple Things You Should Know to find out more about how it all works. We'll do our best to make sure the Forum stays spam-free. I hope it will be a place where there are few trolls and a lot of good conversations.
Special thanks to Suzanne de Nimes, Grendle Swank and Geoffrey Kidd for all their hard work and insights.
January 31, 2007
Jet-A-Reeno! It's here! The first, fantabulous issue of It's Cookie! She's not just a spy, she's a teen sensation! And let's not overlook her elle-boy rival, Dana. Who do you think is prettier? The redhead or the blonde?
January 25, 2007
Jet-A-Reeno! We're not far away from the fem-fantastic first issue of It's Cookie!, the Jet Dream spin-off! In the meantime, Sizzling Suzanne de Nimes provides us with those XTRAs that used to appear in the back pages of comics of a certain vintage (but rarely get reprinted). Take a gander and enjoy some Jet Teen T-Girl fashions, advice, tips, and maybe you'll even decide to join the club!
January 13, 2007
Jet-A-Reeno! It's Jet Dream #5. Here's the poop on the latest ish from Suzanne...
Face front, T-Fem Fanatics! Here at TGC Central, we read your cards and letters, and the message comes through loud and clear! Guys and gals alike just can't get enough of COOKIE JARR, Jet Dream's groovy T-Girl Teen Titania! Her little blonde slang-spewing self even gets cover featured for her backup story, in which Cookie gets a hip new UNIFORM, in a "mod" style fit for the "NOW" Generation! Plus, the T-Girls head to China in our main story, an action epic in the classic Jet Dream Tradition, "The Spider and the Spy!" And every T-Fan will want to read an exciting new ANNOUNCEMENT about the future of Cookie Jarr! It's all in the pulse-packed pages of JET DREAM #5 - can you withstand the excitement?
January 3, 2007
To celebrate 2007, I've updated the most popular page on the site, the LINKS page.
All the best,
