So the prime couple never get to have sex with eachother as their prime selves but only as thier TG selves?

The way I understood it, having sex allows them to switch genders. After puberty, they are stuck in that gender unless and until they have sex with another zerophiliac (the dilema for the "professor"). The couple in the end have sex to swirch, then have sex to switch back. They can do this endlessly now and experience it from both sides.

Specifically, it seems they have to induce orgasms in each other. Whoever has an orgasm will switch, not necessarily both at the same time (at least that's how I deduced the last clips of videos in the movie, since it showed them in various combinations of each gender).

That's what I thought. You'd have to be REALLY understanding if your boyfriend or girlfriend was zerophilia and you aren't.

Sorry. On reflection, my explanation requires a little refinement. Having sex with anyone after puberty opens the door to "the change" (so, sorry--having sex with Kelly LeBrock will not trigger your acqusition of the condition! :D), but you become stuck after sex with another zerophiliac--unless you do it again with a zerophiliac. I thought that this device was rather overly complicated, but they had to create conflict for the protagonist, and provide a plot twist with the professor to trigger the climax of said conflict.

Oh well, best not to overthink it. Just kick back and enjoy the fantasy. Next time, more CGI transformations please! ;) (Zerophilia is a real condition--but it doesn't work that way. I think it has to do with chromosomal imbalances)

I found this - it looks like fun
http://www.zerophilia.net/

I have looked and all I could find were very clever mock sites that were clearly a publicity stunt for fans of the film - I think , have a look for yourselves - Commotion - can you direct us to a site that discusses this condition that is a real one and not related to the movie?

Oh Jeez! It was about 2 years ago when I found the info. I had stumbled on it while looking up info on the movie to determine if I wanted to buy it or not. It was on a medical site. It could have been a mock site for the movie, but what made me think it was not, was the way they described the symptoms and conditions--and spontaneous sex change was NOT among them. (Yeah, I wanted to check that out too! :) ). I'll look around this weekend and see if I can reconstruct what I was doing and where I was looking and post the link if I can find the site again. Right now, I'm approaching the closing stretch for the MoV Epilogue and I don't want to break my pace!

Finally saw it, and liked it.

Much of the trade off, with each opposite Z liking each other reminded me of The Werewif. Not a bad thing.

As for Zerophilia, it was better than most gender swapping movies I've ever seen. It seemed to cover most all of the issues, but mostly focused on the lead character's trouble with accepting change, which was interesting.

It didn't dig deep into any sort of perversion remaining more geared towards a general public. It wasn't about the person's discoveries with the transformation very much at all. The story seem to keep it all grounded in when the lead character decides how to accept the situation. Definitely more of a first love story about a teen becoming an adult.

The transformations looked good, but I didn't like how too much of the characters changed when changing sex. Their hair, & eye colors changed. Body hair seemed to vanish. The transformations looked like common morphing effects. Not much visual transformation except the shower scene which was mostly close up shots of legs, arms, & a nipple. I can over look those things because it was an entertaining movie, and fun to watch . Defiantly a good movie over are. Well filmed, and interesting.

I'll probably watch it a few more times, and get my fill. I like to over saturating myself with a movie until I'm able to notice the little things.
I enjoyed it.

The more I watch it the more I appreciate it.

I'm still not fond of the differences in appearance from male to female. After Luke first transforms into Luca he seems to magically be wearing lipstick.

Most of the movie is spent with Luke wanting to remain male, and most interesting in my opinion is when Sydney (the doctor) tells Luke that accepting the truth is never welcomed without anger first.

I really want more movies like this that really get into the human experience verses making it into a joke, or pun.

Zerophilia is available on Starz on demand this month, for those who have cable or satellite premium channels.
