The problem is the programmer's they think that the darker the color the mysterious the set will be. What need to be done is to lock them is a set of room the same color as there program for a week or two and see how fast they change the color schemes.

Great comic, interesting story so far. I'm amazed at what you've got DAZ to do, I'm fooling around with it at the moment and it's fighting me at nearly every turn.
Loved the ship models :)

I keep my eye out for models I think I can use at some point on the DAZ site and Renderosity--and of course watch for deals, coupons and sales. Money is not a BIG issue, but I've got to watch the nickels (and I'm basically cheap--lol!). Everything you see is DAZ except the "melting" shots in Chapter one, I used MGI Photo Suite special effects to doctor the render to try to get the "dripping and running" effect. I have used more MGI in Chapter 4 because I can't get the DAZ cameras to go out of focus. I've not had any serious problems working with the mechanics of DAZ, and I think I'm going to like 3.0. I guess it's kind of a zen thing--go with the flow.

Whoa, impressive material man! The plot is intriguing and clever made,
love how there is a "goo" thing involved. Magical and transformation items are
great to, but nice to finally see some variation.

But where's the TG? I love all poser comics as they are,
content with gender-changes content or without, they are still great
to watch . Infact, I believe that poser is is the upcoming
look on comics overall. They are just so great to read!

Keep it up man, and thanks for sharing this impressive material!

I don't know how to quote in this new format, so I guess I'll have to do it manually:

verm1n:
"But where's the TG?"

Patience, Chapter 4 is in the works. I don't want to give anything away, but by the end of the story, the possibilities will be endless! (I know, that was cryptic!)

I always thought that some of the TG stories were a bit short changed on plot, just there to provide an excuse for a tranformation. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. While the TG is obviously important, I want it to be an integral part of the plot that helps advance the story--not the ONLY part, nor even at times the most dominant part. I guess I share the philosophy of Edger Allen Poe on this--a clean plot and story, everything must contribute to the story. And my watchword is "plausibility," especially for the implausible!

He is good! You'll notice that the Med-bay is largely his "Conference Room." I also have a few of his other models on my Renderosity "Wish List!"

That what I like about working with DAZ you can take a little from here and a litter from there and put it to gather. What I did as a test I put some of the med equipment in The Containment Facility and it came out more or less like what you did with the Conference Room. I did what you are trying to do. Last fall DAZ had a big sale and with some spare cash I had I bought my wish list and now that the big out door project is winding down I want to load then in to my new computer and learn how to use them.

Here is something I did by stacking a program end to end to see how far I could have pushes it. As you can see I didn't do too bad.

BTW I remember one of the bug in DAZ. What you get on the older program is a PP P4 P5 and so on. I talking one of the teck at DAZ he told me to dump the PP there out dated and will give you nothing but headaches. If you not sure building a "Cold Storage" on you list and put them there that with I did.

It is a system my brother built me about 3 years ago to play Oblivion at higher settings. It is a Pent. 4 with a 3.1 GHz processor and 1 gig of memory and a GeForce 8500 GT graphics with 1 gig memory on the card--and I have only a vague idea what that all means :D.

By The Way: I am on page 13 of Chapter 3 and hope to have it up later tonight!

Yeah i rember trying to render on a p4 1.6 ghz.

Things are alot easier on my 2.1 ghz ghz duel core laptop with gforce gt8400GS card

I have never been sure which of these files to use. I assumed the P4 and P5 etc. meant Poser files, so I have been using the PPs--without any real trouble. Which ones are we supposed to be using?

By the way C-Monster, have you upgraded to Vicki 4 and Michael 4? I think you'll be pleased with them and I find them much easier to work with. I have V3 and M3 as well, and use them where my clothing models don't work so well with the 4s--but the morphing with V4 and M4 is really easy, I find the 3s really difficult to use in this regard.

what I did is to call DAZ on there toll free number, and what I was told that PP (Poser Pack ?) was one of the first program out there its basely obsolete but some venter will include it for those that haven't upgraded. Yes it will work on the newer DAZ programs however you end fighting it all the way. You are better to use Poser 4 or higher, again when you add a new program say space ship if you are not sure switch back and forth between a Poser 4 and what ever is higher just to see which one will work the best rendering.

Yes I do have the new V4 and M4. I have played with the V4 and your are right its a bear to use with the old clothing. The M4 is what I was talking about in one of my posting having problems with it. Now that I am almost done with my Frankenstein nightmare in my backyard, I hope to start playing more with my DAZ program. One of the things is driving my up a wall is the overwritten and out of date manual that they give us. If they want to build a customer base to set it up so it user friendly.

Also you do know you have a V4 to V3 conversion. when the fog clears from my brain I will tell you a slick way of setting up you V4 and M4.

Here is what my ideal is base on.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Shore Leave" is a first-season episode of Star Trek: The Original Series. It was first broadcast on December 29, 1966, and repeated on June 8, 1967. It is episode #15, production #17, and was written by science fiction author Theodore Sturgeon, and directed by Robert Sparr.

Overview: The crew of the Enterprise visits a bizarre planet of dangerous illusions.

Plot
On stardate 3025.3, the starship USS Enterprise, under the command of Captain James T. Kirk, arrives at a planet in the Omicron Delta system. Scans reveal the planet to be congenial, and Kirk announces shore leave for all off-duty personnel.

Not long after beaming down, the landing parties discover some strange things are going on. Dr. McCoy sees a large, humanoid white rabbit hop past hurriedly, and a moment later Alice asks McCoy if a rabbit has passed by. Lt. Sulu is attacked by a katana-wielding samurai. Yeoman Tonia Barrows is accosted by Don Juan.

Kirk beams down to confirm McCoy's seemingly ludicrous report of seeing characters from Alice in Wonderland. At first, Kirk doesn't believe the doctor's story, but then he spots large bunny tracks as proof. Kirk then stumbles upon young Finnegan, a cocky Irish practical joker he knew back from his academy days and a former girlfriend, Ruth, whom he hasn't seen in years.

Kirk orders a temporary halt to the beaming down of personnel until they can discover what is really happening. At the same time Mr. Spock reports that the planet is emanating a strange force field which seems to be drawing energy from the ship's engines. If the drain continues it could jeopardize the ship. He also reports that the energy patterns suggest some kind of industrial activity.

Spock beams down to gather sensor readings as communications with the ship are nearing impossible. Just as Yeoman Barrows finishes changing into a medieval dress, a knight charges her. McCoy steps in front of Barrows to protect her, and is impaled with the lance. Kirk shoots the knight with the pistol he confiscated from Sulu. Kirk and Spock analyze the body of the knight and find out it is not human but similar to the plant life around them and appears to be "manufactured". A fighter plane then strafes the landing party, and during the commotion, the bodies of Dr. McCoy and the knight mysteriously vanish.

Spock deduces a connection between the visions and the landing party's thoughts just before the visions appear and asks Kirk what was on his mind just before his "vision". Kirk recalls thinking of his academy days, then as Spock expected, Finnegan reappears. Finnegan taunts the Captain then runs off, with Kirk on his heels. The chase ends in a ravine where Finnegan sneaks up on Kirk and attacks him. Remembering all the torment the older cadet put him through, Kirk fights back and knocks Finnegan out.

Spock and Kirk realize that their thoughts are conjuring up their fantasies, but the visions are starting to prove deadly for them. Kirk orders everyone to come to attention and stop thinking about anything.

An elderly man appears and identifies himself as the "Caretaker". Accompanying him is Dr. McCoy, who was revived by the sophisticated machinery below the planet's surface. McCoy smiles and confirms he's all right and shows off the two sexy Rigelian cabaret girls he conjured up.

The Caretaker informs Kirk that planet is a sophisticated "amusement park", but the illusions are not designed to be harmful or to last permanently. He apologizes for the misunderstandings and offers the services of the planet to the Enterprise's weary crew, with the caution that the visitors must choose their amusements with care. Kirk accepts the offer as Ruth appears again, and authorizes the crew to beam down. Spock however, has had his fill of shore leave, and requests to be returned to the Enterprise.

Yes, I saw that and clicked it a few times, but I have only suspicions about what it is and no idea how to use it.

Glad I could inspire you! I have noticed others mention on the forum how magic and the supernatural dominate the TG "process." I do somewhat prefer "super science." Was it Isaac Azimov who said "any science, sufficiently advanced, will apear to be magic"? With science, we can at least hope that such abilities as are discussed here on this forum can be achieved!

i think between dynamic clothes (and d hair if you use carerrra and they port d clothes to it eventually) and Generation 4 models its going to open all new kinds of potential for us.

on that note ive been playing with the dynamic table cloth and use the M4 Enhanced/Mina morph pach to see how wel dynamic take a extreme change like gender

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQnaushfddU

keep a eye on my youtube though as i just put M4 into some dynamic clothes and am rendering a morph of him dropping to 90% height and turing into Mina and once it finishes i'll upload that for you tube as well.

Some one ones said "To day science fiction is to tomorrow science facts" I was born in time when steam engines were not museum pieces, when gong to the moon was in the movies and owning a electronic brain was not even a dream of. what tomorrow will bring shell be both fascinating and frighting. If we can keep from turning this planet into a self lighted glass ball, your future should be exciting.

Commition22 I have played around with the conversion from V4 to V3 some it dose work, but I can't tell you why. What you need to do is in the day time is to call DAZ they have a toll free number and they can help you more that me trying to second guess there programs. What DAZ need to do is to knock out a news letter that explains in simple English what there products can and can not do.

You should give "Shore Leave" a go the reason I say this, if you have there premium package you can buy a lot neat program to two dollars a piece and that would be a low cost way to go.

Here is a two dollar sample I was talking about.

First, I want to finish this story--maybe 5 to 8 more chapters, depending on how long winded I get (lol). Then I want to step back and finish the last chapter in my Movies epic, it only needs editing and dialogue. After that? I will decide then--I have at least 3 more multi-part ideas for my Movies characters and I am toying with 2 possible stories for continuing "Mask".

Great images commotion22. Awesome.

What I believe is amusing with me is that I have so many elaborate props, and scenes but every time I come down to actually putting stuff together I end up using the most simple props.

I've got 3 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms, 6 living rooms, dozens of robots,....very cool futuristic sci fi metal scenes like those above, but with all of that I never seem to have a story that needs those things. Where as I always need yet another hair style, or t-shirt.
I'm still waiting for people models with elbows, and joints that have wrinkles or tiny little flabby creases where the body parts close in on itself.

LOL...I have several vaginas...none of which I'm ever really happy with BTW. They always look too square, or not properly colored.
I should make it myself, but thus I'd feel ridiculous spending weeks pulling vertices to create a perfectly realistically formed female private part. Perhaps that's why few 3D artists worry about it.
As always; PhotoShop Liquify to the rescue.
