True, but if I did too much of that I doubt I'd get anything done

I've just checked into your production. The art work is outstanding! The story lines look good so far. I'll keep checking in. Thanks.

Alright! Finally got Chapter 4 done! That last render almost did me in! After whizzing along with 5 to 10 minute renders, that last one was just under 2 hours! Must have been the way I lighted the scene. At any rate, I am going to take a couple of days off, complete some neglected tasks, such as; mow the lawn, fix some things around the house, eat...bathe--you know: the usual. But never fear, I'll be back at it with Chapter 5 by Friday. In this chapter, since I can't dazzle you with "transformational process," I'll try to build suspense and pretend like all of you don't know what's coming! Enjoy! Ch.4, Page 1

Cool, So I wonder if Allen/Christine are now separate entities within a shared body or if there is only one person 'at home'? maybe they have merged mentally? Looking forward to finding out. I do notice some physical changes - she is now a platinum blonde and the face and body look a little different - is this deliberate or is it due to not being able to find the exact same model again?

GreatSage: I do notice some physical changes - she is now a platinum blonde and the face and body look a little different - is this deliberate or is it due to not being able to find the exact same model again? Sorry, some of that is unintended. The model is saved and I reuse it. I've noticed that too and I'm not sure why. The MD is the same one in my previews of the Med-bay, and she looks a little different too. In fact, I didn't use the character save, it is the indentical model in the previews as I just worked from the saved scene and did not save and re-add her. Maybe it is a trick played on our eyes from the different hair styles. As to hair color, the color palate between the two hair models does not match--so I am going to say, "a temporary effect of the trauma of transformation." (lol!) She will eventually go back to the original style (I rather like it.). GreatSage: So I wonder if Allen/Christine are now separate entities within a shared body or if there is only one person 'at home'? maybe they have merged mentally? I have no immediate comment! :D

I looked at my cover page where she is using the same hair, and she looks the same as in this episode--just weirdness I guess.

Commotion, this is really good. The question is; is this a mind meld, or complete over take of Allen Ward? Very interesting. Looking forward to the rest. Thanks for sharing.
I remember there being an episode of Stargate Atlantis, called Duet with a mind meld. I only remember it because it was the only SGA I've ever really enjoyed. It was perhaps the most comedic of the series.

I don't want to give too much away yet, but I will say that there is an implied explanation as the story progresses. Reference my comments earlier about "everything contributing to the story." But hold on to your socks, the bizarre nature of his situation is not yet fully revealed!

I like the paceing of the story so far and the fact that there seems to be a world and a story beyond the change. I look forward to seeing more. I don't want to guess how it's going to work out, but I can't help but wonder who's the spy. and what happened to his body? one may answer the other.

GreatSage: I do notice some physical changes - she is now a platinum blonde and the face and body look a little different I know, I promised myself not to turn on DAZ for 2 days so as not to tire myself out, but this issue of the changed looks of the model was really bothering me, Great Sage, so I did some tests. At first I thought it could be a difference in expressions used in the different chapters. I use expression and pose pre-sets to get me close to where I want them, and then modify them (I almost NEVER use a pre-set "pure"). I did find that one of my expression sets actually changes the models features. But the changes are really noticable (I haven't used this set much) and I have deleted it to prevent mistakes. I then went to a side-by-side comparison with the two hair styles--and I was a bit surprised at the difference it makes! It seems to change the dimensions of the face!

I can tell you about what was to be a two week dig and drop for a power and water line. It now winding down after three month of doing some very creative digging about the roots of a very old tree. In that time I have not watch much TV, set up my new computer, or much of any thing etc. All I did was to dig read a little on the computer and sleep. In a day or two I will be done with the project and will my life back so I know about trading something for something like you need to stay away from DAZ and get house work done. Computer can be addicting. Life can be so unfair sometimes.

Looking at it - I hate to say this but the hair looks weird - too wispy - it's like - you know when you spill a liquid on a surface and you rub your fingers through it to create swirly patterns? it's like that - it looks nothing like hair - and yes the dimensions of the face look different - it might be an optical illusion.

No, it is an optical illusion. In photography, you can create illusions by changing the way hair frames the face. An example would be a circle with straight lines running though it. From afar it looks like the lines are curved when they are straight. Also, is the lighting in your setup the same. Remember that lighting can make colors look different depending on how it is setup. I never worked in DAZ but in Poser you can change how the lighting makes colors warmer or cooler.

Still testing out Daz Dynamic Cloth so for this one i used Micheal 4, scaled him up to 133% with a number of bulk morphs and morphed him down to Mina at 85% to see if the cloth would over size on her. No such luck but i think i am fining the cause of the artifacting problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMGoMXN0AP0so there you go dynamic cloth with a major tg change

Sorry this is taking so long! I am trying to get the last half dozen renders done. It goes REAL slow when I use dim lighting (you'll see why!) and I have two more of those to go--then the lights go up and it will go quicker, I hope. It should top out at 24 or 25 pages and I will stay at it until finished and put it up tonight!
Another pre-view:
